PROGRAM |
MABZ (Mind-and-Body-Izzy) Program is a 1-year joint effort enrichment program between Family Life
Centre (FLC) and Coca-Cola to focus on youth. Its objective is to cultivate
well being in mind and body for Singapore youths that need
special care in secondary schools.
Students from five schools (St Hilda Sec., Whitley Sec., Queensway
Sec., Springfield Sec. and Sembawang Sec.) were selected to
participate in this program with the following criteria:

Display
signs of inappropriate social behaviour but having
the desire to turn over a new leaf. |

|
Single
or dysfunctional family background with financial
and/ or emotional difficulties. |
|
|

and/ or emotional difficulties. |
The 1-year
enrichment program encompasses:

1. |
IT
Training, where the students will learn to create
their own homepage, learning to use the digital camera
and putting images that have taken into the homepage. |

2. |
Lifeskill
workshops that will help students to learn how to
handle life issues, such as family relationships and
coping with difficulties. For example, in the "Self-Discovery"
workshop, the students will discover their potentials
and strengths, and understand why they have certain
preferences in life. |

Outdoor
activities, for example scaling up Mount Ophir, will
enable the students to learn skills in managing conflicts
and, solving problems and working together as a team. |

Besides,
the students are also involved in the Lunar New Year
Old Folks' Food Distribution at the Jalan Besar Community
Centre and skit-performance during FLC 4th Anniversary.
