BRIDGING FAMILY TIES
A Family Support Programme Jointly Organised By Family Life Centre & Singapore Prison Services
Family Life Centre (FLC) is launching its first family support programmes series in the prison institutions especially for the inmates and their families.

It is a collaborative effort with Singapore Prison Service to provide family education cum life skills programmes for these specific family groups. The main aim of this project is to provide a care-giving environment for both the inmates and the families to nurture a positive social support system.

Programme Context

Duration:

8 sessions for each batch of 20 family units
 
Workshop series for inmates and their families
1. Self-Management and Family Management
2. Core Life Skills to develop self-help strategies and positive coping mechanism.
 
Small group discussions and interactive activities
Aims:
a. Rebuilding family ties.
b. To develop mutual understanding and trust between family members.
 
Counselling sessions, home visitations and Parental Support Group sessions
Aim:
Provide intervention and support services for family members experiencing emotional difficulties.
